Unlike traditional braces, removable aligners let you eat and drink all your favorite foods. You won’t have to worry about breaking a bracket or getting food stuck in your braces. Simply remove the clear trays before you eat and put them back in after you’re finished.

Easier care than traditional braces

With invisible aligners, all you need to do is take them out and brush them when you brush your teeth. Traditional braces often require a lot more effort to keep clean. There is also far less pain with invisible aligners because they don’t have any pieces that can break free, cut, or scrape the inside of your mouth.

Better oral health

Because you can take out invisible aligners to brush, floss, and rinse normally, patients who use invisible aligners are far less likely to develop cavities and other dental issues during treatment.

No impact on sports and hobbies

People with traditional braces often have a difficult time playing certain musical instruments that require specific mouth placement. They also need to take extra precautions when playing sports. Patients who choose invisible aligners can usually still play their instruments normally (or take the aligner trays out while they play) and participate in sports without risk.

This treatment plan is ideal for people who have crowded teeth, large spaces between teeth, mild overbites or underbites, or crooked teeth.

Ideal candidates for ClearCorrect Invisible Aligners have excellent overall oral health and only need minor adjustments to their teeth to improve their bite or their smile.

How long does the treatment last?

The ClearCorrect treatment time depends on the amount of correction required and how well you follow the treatment plan. It can take anywhere from several months to several years. Not wearing the aligner trays, missing appointments, poor oral hygiene, and excessive bone growth can cause the treatment to take longer, affect the quality of the treatment, and increase the cost.

Treatment time can also depend on your overall health and physiology. Everyone’s teeth move and heal at different rates.

Treatment times are estimates based on your dentist’s evaluations and experience.

Do I have to wear the aligners all the time or just at night?

You will wear the aligner trays all the time, except when you eat, drink, and brush your teeth. Some patients need to take their trays out when playing specific instruments or participating in rough contact sports, but we strongly encourage our patients to wear the trays as close to 22 hours each day as possible. Not wearing the trays consistently can slow the treatment progress or even allow the teeth to move back to their original positions.

Is the ClearCorrect Invisible Aligner treatment safe?

Yes. Invisible aligners are safe for people who are good candidates for the treatment. ClearCorrect Invisible Aligners are ideal for people who need mild or moderate correction of crowded or incorrectly spaced teeth.

What is the difference between ClearCorrect and Smile Direct Club?

ClearCorrect and Smile Direct Club both use a series of clear, custom-fit, removable aligners to slowly adjust your teeth. One of the most significant differences is that ClearCorrect relies heavily on your dentist to take accurate impressions and provide current X-rays to the ClearCorrect lab.

Smile Direct Club, on the other hand, often mails their customers impression kits and usually does not work directly with your dentist. This can dramatically impact the treatment plan and outcome. Dentist’s participation in the process is critical because moving teeth is a very complex process.

With ClearCorrect’s unlimited case, instead of creating all the aligners at once, your dentist will monitor the progress and order each “phase” as your treatment progresses. This allows your dentist to adjust and refine the treatment along the way. Smile Direct Club, on the other hand, creates all the trays at once.

What is the difference between ClearCorrect and Invisalign?

ClearCorrect and Invisalign are very similar products. Both require patients to work closely with an approved dentist who has received training for either ClearCorrect or Invisalign. Both require in-office visits throughout the treatment process.

ClearCorrect uses a slightly different, PBA-free and phthalate-free plastic that is thinner than Invisalign. That makes ClearCorrect trays slightly less noticeable and more flexible than Invisalign trays. When compared directly, many patients say ClearCorrect trays are more comfortable than comparable products.

How does ClearCorrect compare to the cost of traditional braces?

ClearCorrect treatment typically costs as little as half as much as the cost of traditional braces.  Some of this cost may be covered by your insurance depending on your plan.
